BRUSSELS (Belgium), April 10, 2019 – Drive Sustainability is the latest initiative to join as affiliate member the Global Platform for Sustainable Natural Rubber (GPSNR) in its effort to improve the socio-economic and environmental performance of the natural rubber value chain.
Rubber is a priority material for us, as highlighted in the Material Change report recently published.
Joining this platform reflects the importance of the automotive sector as a key actor of the natural rubber value chain and the commitment of Drive Sustainability to collaborate to achieve sustainable procurement of materials.
GPSNR focus is on contributing to the harmonization of standards to improve respect for human rights, prevent land-grabbing and deforestation, protect biodiversity and water resources, improve yields and increase supply chain transparency and traceability.
More information on specific activities will be made available in due course.
